Rose Blaney is a Donegal based artist and photographer with a passion for landscape photography and art. She is based in Letterkenny Co. Donegal and originally hails from the scenic peninsula of Fanad. Having grown up in the unspoilt rugged terrain by the Atlantic Ocean encouraged her creativity and passion for arts. She is especially enthusiastic about photographing and painting the rugged beauty of the North West Coast, this affection for the sea comes across in many of her landscape paintings and photographs.

Rose has enjoyed water colour and oil painting as a hobby for many years, her passion for photography developed as a result of trying to capture that perfect photo to paint. She has an eye for detail and a dedication to getting that right shot at all times. Alot of her work is attributed to spotting a spontaneous shot while out and about and never having the camera too far from hand.

Her photographic portfolio is made up of both landscape and wildlife images. A selection of her paintings and photographs can be viewed at The Silver Tassie Hotel, on the Ramelton Road, 6km outside Letterkenny, Co Donegal. Her photography collection on display in the hotel consists of framed and unframed prints, and she also has a large selection of her photos printed on canvas in various sizes. These are available to purchase at the hotel or can be ordered in various sizes.
